Fabricado com duas peças, uma posterior e outra anterior ambas em plastazote com placas termoplásticas rígidas, com sistema de fecho em velcro, a parte superior está desenhada para fazer contato com a parte inferior da cabeça através de um suporte occipital e na zona do queixo. A zona inferior do suporte fica apoiada sobre os ombros enquanto a zona frontal fica sob o esterno e a parte posterior sobre a vertebra D5. Na parte da frente do colar existe um orifício traqueal. É possível efetuar um raios-X a um paciente mesmo com o colar posto, uma vez que os rebites são em material plástico.
Indicações:
Em situações de traumas graves na zona vertebral, proteção numa pós cirurgia (laminectomia) metástases, e especialmente lesões cervicais superiores (C1-C2).
Made with two pieces, one posterior and one anterior both plastazote with rigid thermoplastic plates, with velcro closure system, the upper part is designed to make contact with the inferior part of the head through an occipital support and in the zone of the chin. In situations of severe trauma in the vertebral zone, protection in a post surgery (laminectomy) metastases, and especially upper cervical lesions (C1-C2).
